What is it?
The University of Tsukuba is calling for additional recruitment in April for applications for privately-financed international students who wish to receive scholarships through university recommendation for the 2021-22 academic year.
The university notes on its website that the call for next year’s scholarships via the university-recommendation route occurs once a year in July. This, however, is additional recruitment is exclusively for new students who were admitted and students who were taking a leave of absence from last July.
“The above-mentioned students are strongly encouraged to apply this time after carefully reading the application guide,” said the university. Limited scholarships are available for students at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral level.
Who’s eligible for the scholarship?
International students who hold a status of residence of “Student”, undergraduate, graduate and research students are eligible to apply.

Only applicants selected by their respective universities will be notified of the result by their Academic Service Office. Students can expect to hear the results between the end of April and June 2021.
