About the Federal Scholarship: 

The Honorable Minister of Education (HME), Mallam Adamu Adamu, hereby invites qualified Nigerians to participate in the 2021/2022 Federal Government Scholarship Awards for:

BILATERAL EDUCATION AGREEMENT (BEA) 2020/2021:

  • Undergraduate (UG) studies tenable in Russia, Morocco, Algeria, Serbia, Hungary, Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, Cuba, Romania, Japan, Macedonia; and
  • Postgraduate (PG) studies tenable in (for those whose first degrees were obtained from Russia), China, Hungary, Serbia, Turkey, Japan, Mexico.

2.0 All qualified candidates are advised to:

3.0 FIELDS OF STUDY

a. Undergraduate level – Engineering, Geology, Agriculture, Sciences, Mathematics, Languages, Environmental Sciences, Sports, Law, Social Sciences, Biotechnology, Architecture, Medicine (very limited), Pilot Engineering, Neurologis and

b. Postgraduate level (Masters Degree and PhD) in all fields.

Eligibility Criteria

FOR BILATERAL EDUCATION AGREEMENT (BEA)

A. Undergraduate Scholarship:

  • All applicants for undergraduate degree courses must possess a minimum qualification of Five (5) Distinctions (As & Bs) in the Senior Secondary School Certificate, WAEC (May/June) only in the subjects relevant to their fields of study including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Certificates should not be more than Two (2) years old (2018 & 2019).
  • Age limit is from 18 to 20 years.

B. Postgraduate Scholarship:

  • All applicants must hold a First Degree with at least 2nd Class Upper Division.
  • The applicants who are previous recipients of Foreign Awards must have completed at least two (2) years post qualification or employment practice in Nigeria.
  • All applicants must have completed N.Y.S.C.
  • Age limit is 35 years for Masters and 40 years for Ph.D.
  • Evidence of readiness to be released by employer.

GENERAL NOTE FOR ALL APPLICANTS:

  • Since the BEA countries are non-English speaking, applicants should be prepared to undertake a mandatory one year foreign language of the country of choice which will be the standard medium of instruction; and
  • All applicants for Hungarian Scholarship must visit the www.stipendiumhungaricum.hu  which will hopefully be opened between October and November 2019
  • Complete the application form online
  • All applicants for Russian Postgraduate Scholarship must have acquired their 1st Degree in Russia;

b. POSTGRADUATE (PG): 1st Degree Certificate, Birth Certificate, WAEC/WASSCE Indigene letter & NYSC discharge Certificate.

NB: Candidates nominated by the Board will be required to submit to Federal Scholarship Board the following:

 i) Authenticated copies of academic certificates;

 ii) Data page of the current International passport;

iii) Specified Medical Reports from Government hospitals;

iv) National Identification Number (NIN)

Turkey Government Scholarship 2021-2022 by Türkiye Burslari also known as Turkish Scholarship is announced for international students to study Undergrad, Master, and Ph.D. programs in Turkish Universities for free.

Turkey Government opened Turkish Scholarships sponsored by Turkiye Burslari Scholarship Scheme for International Students to study for free in Turkish Universities.

When to apply for the Turkiye Burslari Scholarship?

The Turkey Government Scholarship applications 2021-2022 will be open from January 10, 2021, for international students to apply for all course options under undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral degree programs. The Turkish Government Scholarship applications 2021-2022 will begin from December this year for students all over the world. It is really a great time for international students to avail of an opportunity to study for free in Top Ranked Turkish Universities.

Turkey has started to allow students from all around to get admission to their universities. Studying in these Turkish universities will help you develop your skills, ideas, knowledge, and insight into the subject that you want to get enrolled in. Turkish Culture and Language Programs
Academicians and Public Officials Turkish Language Programme [KATİP] (8-10 months)

    • The monthly Living Allowance for a Master’s is 2000 TL.
    • Accommodation will be issued in Turkey University
    • Course for the Turkish Language
    • The Turkey Scholarship winner receives a return flight ticket once as well.

This Turkish culture and language scholarship program does not include health insurance.

Turkey Government Scholarship (Turkiye Burslari Scholarship) online application process is available for undergrad, master, doctoral degree candidates as well as it is also available for Turkish short course scholarship program candidates.

There is no application fee to apply for the Turkey Government Scholarship.

All you need to do is to make sure that you are an eligible candidate to apply for a scholarship program and also make sure that you have all the documents completed and available for the online Turkish Scholarship Application submission.

Turkey Burslari Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Some of the countries that are allowed for the Turkey Scholarship Program are Germany, Iceland, United States, UAE, Pakistan, etc. There are other countries as well in the list from where the candidates can only apply for the postgraduate program. The eligibility criteria for the Turkey Government Scholarship are listed below:

    • The age of the candidate is one of the strict criteria that is taken into consideration.
    • If you want to apply for an undergraduate degree then you should not be born before January 1998.
    • If you want to apply for the Master’s degree then you should not be born before January 1989.
    • Likewise, for Ph.D. one should not be born before January 1983 and for the Research Program, it is January 1974.
    • For the application of an undergraduate program, 70% of the marks are mandatory.
    • For the application of the Masters and PH.D. the program, 75% of the marks are mandatory.
    • Medical School Programs require 90% of the marks.
    • If you are a citizen of Turkey or used to be its citizen previously then you cannot apply for the program.
    • Students studying in Turkey are not capable of the Scholarship.
    • Selected students should show their documents when asked.

Online application of Burslari Scholarship Opens from January 2021

Due to a large number of applications, the online application procedure for Turkey Scholarship has been changed this year. For the 2021 sessions, the candidates are required to submit a one-page application form for screening purposes and after the initial evaluation, the invited applicants will be asked to submit an online application along with their documents. Once you make sure that you have all the required documents completed and available for scholarship application then move on and begin your one-page resume (A4 Sized) enlisting all your academic achievements.

Once the candidate filled the information under the above-mentioned sections, then it can be seen in ‘Home Page’, that the candidate is now considered eligible for the scholarship and now it is the time to submit your profile data as an application for Turkey Scholarship.

All the applications for Turkey Burslari Scholarships are evaluated by committee members and in the first phase, the candidates are shortlisted for an interview followed by confirming the selection. Later, the Turkey Student VISA documents, University Admission letter, and Scholarship Award letters are dispatched to the successful candidates.

What are your chances to win the Turkey Government Scholarship?

The academic background and the interview results are behind the selection for the scholarship. The academic performance of the applicant will be assessed by checking the following attached documents:

The perquisites for the Turkey Scholarship Online Application are:

The applicants will get a call for an interview on the basis of educational grades. The interview will be held in Turkish Consulates and where these are absent technology will be used. The LIGHT PhD Programme 2021 for African PhD Students

We will offer five, full-time, four-year studentships. Available funding will include programme fees at the off-site student rate, contribution to research support costs and stipend.

About the Award: There are 5 PhD opportunities. Each studentship will work on one of the following themes:

  1. Research Uptake to maximise research impact at the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) in Nairobi, Kenya or Lilongwe, Malawi.
  2. Theory driven development of a contextualised and targeted active TB case finding for the youth in Kenya based at the Respiratory Society of Kenya (ReSoK) in Nairobi
  3. Modelling interventions to improve engagement of young adults and men in tuberculosis active case finding in high HIV prevalence settings based at the Malawi-Liverpool Wellcome Trust (MLW) in Blantyre, Malawi
  4. Development of gender sensitive TB screening interventions for community settings in Uganda and Nigeria based at the Zankli Research Centre (ZRC) in Abuja, Nigeria
  5. Evaluation of the feasibility, affordability, acceptability and effectiveness of a gender transformative TB screening interventions in formal health systems in Uganda and Nigeria based at the Makerere Lung Institute (MLI) in Kampala, Uganda.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must hold a first class, or high upper second-class Honours degree (or equivalent) in an area relevant to the available projects for the LIGHT Consortium PhD Programme.
  • Where an applicant does not meet this requirement (e.g. they hold a lower second class undergraduate degree), they may be eligible to apply if they also hold a master’s degree with an awarded distinction or equivalent (in an area relevant to their proposed PhD) and are able to provide an award certificate and transcript for both qualifications. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider masters qualifications that have not yet been awarded.
  • Please provide full details of any relevant academic qualifications that you hold and upload both award certificate and transcript. If you do not have a transcript, you should request this from the awarding institution.

How to Apply: This studentship will be in collaboration with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine who will be the awarding body of the PhD. All applications must be submitted on the LSTM online system via MyLSTM(link is external).
